A UK-based Nigerian doctor, Obinna Obeta, has been accused of plotting with former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, to traffic a homeless man into the UK to harvest his kidney.
According to The Nation, Obeta, 50, had initially appeared before the Bexley Magistrate court on Th
ursday, July 13, and was charged with the aforementioned crime.
The Nation’s report added that Obeta is alleged to have conspired with the former Deputy Senate President to facilitate the travel of Ukpo Nwamini David (21) from Nigeria to the UK with a view to exploiting him via organ harvesting.
It was gathered that the Ekweremadus planned to have David’s kidney removed so it could be given to their daughter.
