Kasia Lenhardt, a famous model from Poland, has been declared dead just a week after her relationship with Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng came to an end.
After 15 months together, the defender announced the breakup with Lenhardt, after a string of personal issues culminated in Boateng crashing his mini and being charged with drink-driving.
“I have to take responsibility and act in the way that takes care of my family and their interests,” Boateng posted on Instagram.
The Berlin Police found Lenhardt, 25, dead in her apartment in the city on Tuesday, but have already declared that the case isn’t being treated as a murder investigation.
Boateng’s relationship with the model soured in recent months, with accusations of infidelity and blackmail, although the defender himself refused to be drawn into discussing it publicly.
