Yoruba Mandate Group Calls For Peaceful Elections In Kogi State

An organization known for the Development and Unity of the the Yorubaland, (Yoruba Mandate Group) has tasked all the relevant stakeholders involved in the Kogi State governorship election to give peace a chance as Kogians go to the polls.
In a statement by the Convener of the Group, Akogun Banji Ojo, he called on the People of Kogi State to excecise their civic rights in a peaceful and orderly manner and in line with the law in all situations.

He also stressed that Law Enforcement officials must ensure that citizens are allowed to vote without any harassment and intimidation and any attempt to steal or hijack ballot boxes must be stoped.

“I hereby advise all the candidates to call their followers to order, so that the elections can be conducted in a very peaceful way, without any hitches. The citizens should choose the best candidate who will serve them and bring development to the state, he added”.
