A report from Opobo road in Abia State shows that tractors that was rented for the operation zero portholes are not in good condition as the works now resorts in using Shovel to assist the tractors in spreading the sand. while a heavy sharpened gravel stones were seen on the road abandoned at the mercy of drivers plying the road.
A source who pleaded for anonymity says the operation porthole is just a ” media sponsored operation” by the state government.
However, when correspondence paid a surprise visit to the ongoing contructions work at the Azikiwe Road, a contractor was seen battling with his tractor while other workers were using shovel to do a work of tractors.
Motorist plying the road at Night are now exposed to danger with the heavy sights of stones on the roads.
