A former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has named several leading women as role models for young women in Nigeria.
Ezekwesili began a campaign on Thursday on popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter to help young women follow fellow women they admire in order to reach their goals.
Among the names she nominated as role models for young women are Nollywood actresses, Joke Silva, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Adesua Etomi.
She also nominated the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) journalist, Kiki Mordi.
Ezekwesili also named Nigerian music video director, filmmaker, and television director, Kemi Adetiba, journalist Kadaria Ahmed, beauty entrepreneur and lawyer, Tara Fela-Durotoye; CNN journalist, Stephanie Busari among others.
