Buhari should prepare for another 4-years of activism – Deji Adeyanju

Activist Deji Adeyanju who recently made bail after spending 78 days in jail as stated that his arrest was “Vitamin C that has re-energised and refreshed” him.

According to Adeyanju, he will remain committed to holding government accountable as he does not care what this may cost him.

Adeyanju also said that he will keep on speaking the truth. Adeyanju ade al of these known as he arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at 1:30pm
In his words;

“For me, I am convinced that when you lock up an activist in prison, what you are doing is that you are just giving him Vitamin C so that he can be refreshed. So, I have gone in, I am refreshed, I am re-energised. So, the government should prepare for four more years of activism,” Deji said.

Adeyanju continued asking why he was the only one the government singled out for persecution. He continued by thanking President Buhari for making him popular during his travail. He also said his arrest has caused him to be even more focused, dedicated and resilient, adding that he will not stop exposing ever forms of injustices the government may be hiding.

“If it is PDP, we will still criticise, but if they don’t want to be criticised, they should leave and go to Daura. In as much as they are on top of the seat, they should get ready for criticism,” he declared.

Adeyanju trended last year after t was revealed that he had been arrested and re-arrested just minutes after he first gained freedom.

The activist was eventually granted bail last week by a court in Kano state. This came after he had spent months in prison.
Aeyanju was picked up by policemen over a murder case he had since 2009 been acquitted for by a Kano High Court.
