The police in Thailand has arrested a 44-year-old woman, Mayura Panichpongsapak,for shooting her husband.
According to reports, Mayura had shot her husband after his failure to explain a mystery call he got during a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.
Dr. Ratthasat Panichpongsapak, 45, was found seriously wounded with a gunshot to the head upon the arrival of the police to their apartment on Friday.
When asked, his wife claimed a 9mm gun had gone off by accident after they had begun to fight over clothes following her orders that he leaves the house.
Pol Col Thaweesak Raksasin of the Somdej police while speaking on the issues said the woman had had told him that she and her husband had gone out for dinner when he received a call on his smartphone, when she asked who called, he was evasive.
Upon getting home, they began to argue prompting her to order her husband out of the family home. He did so, and things calmed down until 4.30 am when the arguments resurfaced.
She said they began to wrestle over clothes when her husband’s gun that had been in the pocket of a garment went off resulting in him getting injured.
The woman has since been charged with attempted murder that may be changed depending on the husband’s condition.
