The Enugu state police command has reportedly arrested two women identified as Nkeiruka Odo and Precious Chukwuemeka Chineneye, both women hail from Imilike Agu village in Udenu council area of Enugu State and Aguleri, Anambra State respectively.
According to reports, both women have for a long time been terrorizing residents by kidnapping kids in the area whom they lure with dresses, Biscuits, Chin-Chin, and Candies among others.
Just last month, the women kidnapped a little boy identified as Ugwu Levi Chiagozie from a Nursery school located in Imilike Ani, Udenu, the young child was taken to Anambra State where he was sold to a nurse.
Luck ran out on them on Monday after they again tried to abduct a child at a certain Primary school located at Imilike Ani, Udenu area.
Police Public Relations Officer in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu, while confirming the incident said the women were arrested following intelligence reports received
“Following their arrest, suspects had revealed how they carried out the abduction of a 4-year old school boy identified as one Ugwu Levi Chiagozie from another Nursery/Primary school also located at Imilike Ani in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State last month, which they handed over to a nurse in Anambra State for sale.
Children’s dresses, Biscuits, Chin-Chin, Candies and other items were recovered from the suspects.
