World Cancer Day: 4 Nigerian Celebrities That Have Survived Cancer

Its February and the world is celebrating the millions who have lost their battle to cancer and those who have survived it. Just last year, Nollywood actress Aisha Abimbola lost her battle to breast cancer in faraway Canada but instead of dwelling on the loses we have had to witness, today we will be celebrating those who survived the disease.

Here are 4 Nigerian celebrities that survived cancer

Uche Agbai aka Sensei Uche

The On air personality announced in July 2107, that he was battling cancer and appealed to Nigerians to help him as his medical bills were quite high, at that moment he needed $21,000. Uche won bhis battle with nasal Lymphoma and has since returned to work and remains healthy.

Karen Igho
The former BB Africa housemate and winner announced back in December 2013, that she had Cancer. Karen who is now married and have two kids have since won her battled as she revealed a couple of years ago that she is now Cancer free, having undergone a series of treatments in the UK.

Banky w
The singer turned politician revealed that during his undergraduate days, he discovered a cancerous tumour on his shoulder which was removed. The cancer however came back several years later but thankfully was caught early. The singer was diagnosed with skin cancer.

Vast from Bracket
One-half of the singing group Bracket, Vast, revealed about two years ago that he had been diagnosed with Lymphoma, Cancer of the blood. He underwent a series of treatment in London and has finally been declared Cancer free.
