Alhaji Shehu Usman, the former speaker of the Kwara House of Assembly has died.
The deceased was the speaker of the House from 1979 to 1983. His death was announced by Shuaib Abdulkadir (PDP Patigi) during a plenary session under matters of urgent public importance.
According to Abdulkadir, Usman died on Monday evening after a brief illness. He has since been buried in his hometown.
