The Kogi state police command has apprehended Yusuf, popularly known as Santa cruise, 100 level student of the Department of Public Administration of the Kogi State University, Ayingba, who allegedly stabbed a fellow student to death last week. .
The suspect fled after he killed Sherrif, a 300 level student of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies,on August 8th,2018.
Sherrif was said to have attempted to separate a quarrel between Yusuf,and one other student when the incident occurred. 
Sheriff , also the operator of Umbrella multimedia studio was said to have been stabbed with a broken bottle in the neck and he bled to death before help could reach him. .
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
