- Although alcohol must be drunk in moderation, and it’s abuse is dangerous, it has been and will always be a part of Christianity thus cannot be removed by modern doctrine.

In Genesis 14 when Melchizedek, the representation of Jesus in the Old Testament met Abram he gave him bread and wine (alcoholic wine)

In Deuteronomy 14:22-26 Drinking wine, strong drink, beer or other alcoholic drink was part of the recommended way of paying tithes.

In the New Testament Jesus turned water to wine at a wedding.

Jesus gave wine (alcoholic) as his blood.

Jesus was consider a drunkard for eating and drinking. What can a human being possibly drink that would make him a drunkard? Coke? Lucozade? Akamu? Zobo?
