Babara Bush dies two days after declining further medical treatment

Former first lady Barbara Bush has died aged 92 two days after falling seriously ill and saying she no longer wanted medical treatment.

According to a statement from the office of former President George H.W. Bush.

‘A former first lady of the United States of America and relentless proponent of family literacy, Barbara Pierce Bush passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the age of 92,’


Bush passed away shortly after declining further medical treatments for her failing health.

The 92-year-old wife of President George H. W. Bush was being cared for at her home in Houston, Texas.
