Robbers watch cash they stole fly away in the wind

Hapless criminals had to watch the cash they stole from a travel agents fly away in the wind.

CCTV footage of the bungled robbery in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, shows money falling from one of the robber’s trousers and blowing away in the wind.

He then scrambles in the street trying to pick up his diminishing haul as his accomplice chases after the cash.

On Saturday, March 17, at 1pm, two men went into a travel agents in Queens Walk, threatened members of staff and demanded money.

The employees handed over cash, which the men stuffed down their trousers before fleeing towards Craven Street, where they got into a silver car.

Detective Constable Phil Scargill said:

‘This duo threatened innocent people working in the travel agents and should know their actions are utterly unacceptable. ‘We would like to speak to the two men in the CCTV footage in connection with this incident, but we need the public’s help with this.’ ‘I’d urge anyone who saw something that stood out from the ordinary that day, or who caught sight of the offenders as they fled from the travel agents, to please get in touch with police and share what you know.’
