The Lagos state police command has arrested a 20-year-old man who has since confessed that he and his gang use a toy gun to rob stranded motorists around Adeniji Adele end of the Third Mainland Bridge.
The suspect, Rilwan Wasiu from Oyo State, was arrested on Thursday night at Adeniji Adele under bridge around while beating his girlfriend.
Officers had seen him fighting with the young lady and stopped to mediate only for a toy gun to fall off his body.
Wasiu immediately tried running away but was immediately apprehended and taken to the RRS Headquarters.
Further probing revealed that he is a member of a 3 – man robbery team who rob stranded motorists and passers-by.
He gave the name of two of his other gang member Salami and Sakiru and they operate at night after working as bus conductors during the day
