A 43-year-old man from india has made news after he was arrested for reportedly keeping the corpse of his dead mother in a deep freezer for almost three years.
reports have it that the said man did this to be able to collect her pension every month using her thumb impression.
The evil act was discovered after the mutilated body of the woman was found at the man’s home by Kolkata Police on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Behala) Nilanjan Biswas who confirmed the news to The Indian Express said; “Bina Mazumdar’s body was stored in a refrigerator since 2015.”
The accused identified as Subhabrato Mazumdar, has been detained.
The deceased who was a government employee before her death at the age of 87, died following a cardiac arrest. She received a pension of Rs 50,000 every month. His 90-year-old father was also aware of the incident.
