The 2018 World Happiness Report, has seen Nigeria landing the 91st spot on the happiest nations of the world list. Nigeria also came in fifth in Africa.
The survey, carried out by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) as part of the UN World Happiness Day- March 20, saw 156 nations being assessed based on capita gross domestic product, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, social support and absence of corruption in government or business released it’s result on March 14th.
Nigeria, whose previous position was 95 at the global level, and sixth in African in 2017, seems to be doing better now judging by the new result.
For the happiest country in Africa, Mauritius snagged the first position followed by Libya, Algeria and Morocco respectively.
On the global stage, Finland is now the happiest country to stay in the world with Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden and Australia earning a spot on the top 10 countries respectively.
