A final Computer Engineering student of the University of Benin, identified as Adam, has taken his own life. According to reports, Adam hung himself in his room on Thursday evening.
Close friends of the deceased said upon returning from class, he had washed his clothes, charged his phone and gone into his room, only to hang himself just 20 minutes after entering his room.
Adam’s corpse was discovered when his sister, who had come to see him from Ekenwa campus, forced the door open. Adam until his death was suffered from Bipolar disorder.
