Jennifer Lawrence’s acting career started at an early age  and her education ended at the same time.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed in an episode of “60 Minutes” that she stopped going to school at age 14, before she even made it to high school.

“I dropped out of middle school. I don’t technically have a GED or a diploma. I am self-educated,” she told Bill Whitaker in the upcoming episode.

Lawrence first broke out onto the scene at age 20 — and by 22, she was nominated and won her first Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook” in 2013.

The actress, said  she doesn’t regret the decision to choose Hollywood over her education.

“No. I really don’t [regret it] I wanted to forge my own path. I found what I wanted to do and I didn’t want anything getting in the way of it,” she explained. “Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career from the age of 14.”

Lawrence, 27, said reading a script is how she first felt “smart” as school was never for her.

“I struggled through school, I never felt very smart. And when I’m reading this script, and I feel like I know exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way,” she recalled to Whitaker. “That was a whole part of my brain that I didn’t even know existed. Something that I could be confident in. And I didn’t want to let it go.”

“It’s so hard to explain, it was just an overwhelming feeling of, ‘I get this. This is what I was meant to do,’” Lawrence continued.
