Mastermind behind Benue killings arrested by the police

New reports have it that the mastermind of the Fulani herdsmen who have been attacking communities in Benue for a while now has been arrested by the police.

DIG Joshak Habillah, Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, who made this known on behalf of the IGP, revealed that the mastermind was arrested after deploying the most advanced technology and trailing him for more than three weeks.

The suspect, a 40-year-old man identified as Alhaji Laggi, was arrested at the Tunga Forrest in Nasarawa State.

Recall e 4 other principal suspects were also nabbed between February 16 to 19 also in the same Tunga town, Nasarawa State, and they were in possession of AK47 rifles and other prohibited arms.

While Laggi, was revealed as the mastermind, the other four were identified as Mallam Mumini Abdullahi, 34, Muhammed Adamu, 30 and Ibrahim Sule, 32. .

Preliminary interrogations, saw the suspects confessing to the killings and mentioned names of some of their members who are presently on the run but possess police rifles they took from the cops they murdered.
