A 26-year-old 200-level student of Architecture of Caleb University, Ahmed Hassan has been arrested for drug peddling and impersonating a military officer for months.

Punch reports that Ahmed was arrested alongside his accomplice a motorbike rider he met in the Sabo, Ikorodu, identified as Ibrahim Yahaya, whom he made believe he is a military officer.

Yahaya eventually became Ahmed’s errand boy assisting in helping him buy drugs. Luck, however, ran out on them in January when Ahmed asked Yahaya to bring 11 packs of codeine and a pack of Rohypnol to his school.

The police reportedly caught the motorcycle rider as made his way to Ahmed and eventually led them to the Igbogbo area where Hassan was arrested.

When paraded at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja, Hassan revealed that he got the uniform from a military friend. He noted that he wore the uniform to intimidate the school guards.

He said, “I am from Kaduna State and I am a 200-level student of Architecture at Caleb University. I got the uniform from my friend, Rufai. I took codeine and Rohypnol in school.
.
I impersonated a military officer in order to intimidate the security men at the school gate so that they won’t check a bag where I keep the drugs. I don’t sell them.”
