A young man alleged to have raped a 10-year old girl in Bayelsa, was severely whipped in the presence of some residents.
According to reports, the said man lured the child into his room after she begged him for money.
He asked the child to come to his room for the money and upon entering, he pounced on her and raped her. The girl reported to her mother, who then raised an alarm within the community.
