Ashanti stopped mid-song to slam a group of fans for throwing money at her while she performed a choreographed lap dance at a club in Hawaii.
“I’m gonna need you to stop throwing that money,” Ashanti can be heard saying to a fan in the crowd after calling for the music to stop. “I’m not a f—–g stripper, okay?” she said while pointing out a few people just beneath the stage.
And Ashanti was later ridiculed in an Instagram post by the club’s owner, Dyamin Thomas, for being offended by the group’s cash downpour.
“WAIT Ashanti ain’t that you in your background video throwing money?” “And aren’t you giving a lap dance?…you broke hearts tonight, girl. We were just tryna (sic) show love.”
