A fifty year old man, Abdullahi Sani has been docked before a Katsina senior magistrate court for allegedly raping a three year old toddler of his neighbour to death.
Sani, father of seven and a resident of Jabiri quarters, Funtua, was alleged to have committed the offence on 12, October 2017 when he lured the little girl into an uncompleted building and have canal knowledge of her.
He was docked before the senior magistrate court on Thursday for cognizance purpose.
According to the First Information Report, (FIR) read out in the court by Police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado further revealed “Abdullahi Sani , age 50 years called the victim who was three years old of the same address and took her to an uncompleted building and covered her mouth and raped her. In the process, she died instantly.”
The court further heard that Sani and the victim’s father, Ibrahim Abdullahi are residing in the same house at Jabiri quarters, Funtua while the latter reported the incident to the police.Vanguard reports
The police prosecutor said investigation on the case was on going and requested that the case be adjourned to another date.
Senior Magistrate Abdulkadiri Umar directed that Sani be remanded in prison custody till 18, December, 2017 when the case is to come up for mention before Senior Magistrate Falile Dikko .
