Troop apprehends high profile Boko Haram terrorist in Adamawa

The Nigerian army has arrested one of the top members of Boko Haram, Bubayi Isa, in Kalaa village in Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria.

Via a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, on Wednesday the arrest was made on Wednesday following a tip-off.

He said the suspected terrorist was nabbed by troops of 23 Brigade attached to Operation Lafiya Dole in Hong LGA of the state.

According to him, Bubayi, according to investigation is the 37th suspect on the list of Boko Haram terrorist suspects published by the Nigerian Army Headquarters.

The suspect was arrested alongside three others – Muhammad Buba, Abdullahi Abubakar, and Yakubu Abdullahi and they all have confessed to belonging to a Boko Haram. They also confessed to their various involvement in the activities of the sect.
