Ewan McGregor wife has reacted to claims he has been dumped his lover after less than a year.
After publicly thanking Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead and his wife of 22 years Eve Mavrakis in a bizarre acceptance speech at the Golden Globes in January, the aged actor has been unceremoniously dumped by his lover.
He met Mary, 33, on the set of Fargo and they first sparked rumours of a romance when they were spotted kissing last year.
But now it’s been reported the actress “hated being labelled a home wrecker”.
Reacting to the split Eve said:
“No, I hadn’t heard. I really don’t know.”
So it appears Ewan has kept his split secret for his family – after leaving his four daughters for the actress.
Eve was reportedly furious over the split and her daughters have been passionate about staying on her side.
A source told US magazine Star:
“Mary hated being labelled a home wrecker and the embarrassment it caused her,”
“It’s sad because a year ago Ewan and his wife were in great shape and then he decided to throw it all away for Mary.
“Now it looks like he’s lost them both for good.”
Ewan, who shares four children with production designer Eve, was believed to have cited irreconcilable differences when he filed for divorce last month.
The film star – who is estimated to be worth £26 million – is willing to pay spousal support.
