Police arrest Nigerian rapper who bragged about his criminal lifestyle in music

A Nigerian rapper and drug dealer who decided on bragging about his criminal lifestyle in a music video has been arrested and jailed in the UK.

The young man known as Adetokunbo Ajibola, 26, has now been sentenced to a total of 5 years’ imprisonment after he admitted to the ”possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property at a previous hearing.”

According to reports, Ajibola jumped from the second floor of his apartment as officers forced entry to the premises. He was, however, later caught.

Rooms on the second floor was searched and described in court as a “drug preparation factory”. 241 grams of high-purity cocaine and mixing agents, along with nearly 60 grams of crack cocaine, and 240 grams of cannabis were found.

Ajibola who is popularly known by his stage name Trapstar Toxic in the music video for the song “Out Ere” recited lyrics “weight [drugs] in the trap and I’ll be done if feds [police] raid it, I’m one step ahead I ain’t complacent”.

Recall famous rapper Sauce Kid also made news last year after it was revealed he had been jailed for card fraud in the US.

Speaking to Notjustok after is release, the rapper said; “Jail hasn’t been all that bad. Truth is, jail has actually been quite productive,” he said.

“In my first year, I was locked up for 22 hours in a day, I wrote a lot of raps… I wrote like 180 songs in my first year and another 120 in my second year,” he said.

Sauce Kid also made news last year after Davido revealed he had just signed him.

Speaking on why he signed the rapper, Davido said;

‘Sinzu has been a great friend of mine, he was one of my mentors when I first started and when I heard he had got out, I spoke to him and he was really proud of me and what I had accomplished and I was like, Yo Sinzu, come to DMW, let’s run this stuff, he is my big brother, expect his album this year..

For now, we are working on getting him back to Nigeria.”
