Lady Gaga finally addressed rumors that she and Bradley Cooper had developed an off-stage romance while working on A Star is Born.
The superstar scoffed at the suggestion during a Wednesday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, proclaiming social media as being the ‘toilet of the internet’ that has been ‘abysmal’ to pop culture.
She said
‘That is what we wanted you to see,’ she declared when asked about the pair’s intense chemistry, adding that Cooper adamantly directed all the musical numbers. ‘This is a long song. It is a love story and we worked so hard.”I knew he had the vision for how it should go.’
Sources familiar with the film indicated that Cooper intentionally wanted the pair to sizzle on and off the screen.
Many are speculating that it contributed to Gaga’s split from fiancé, Christian Carino.
‘Hollywood is buzzing that Gaga fell for Bradley during preproduction and filming, creating the intense emotional energy you see on-screen and at the Oscars,’ a source explained to Page Six. ‘He wanted an authentic love story on-screen.’
