American actor Kristoff St. John who hit limelight with his role on the long-running soap opera “Young and the Restless,” is dead.
According to Fox News, Kristoff died on Sunday at the age of 52.
Confirming the sad incident, Kristoff’s lawyer said an official statement will soon be made available.
TMZ had first reported the news saying the police had responded to a call from friends of the actor who had gone to his home and found him dead.
A pokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, confirmed on Monday that an autopsy had been carried out and the cause of death has been “deferred” pending toxicology results.
“The autopsy on Mr. St. John was performed and the results are deferred,” the spokesperson told Fox News. “Typically, it takes 6 to 8 weeks for the toxicology to come back and to be signed off on by a doctor.”
Kristoff played the character Neil Winters on the famous soap opera since 1991.
