A 40-year old man has been rushed to the hospital after he set himself on fire.
The Jigawa State police command has the man identified as Abdullahi Jafaru, attempted to commit suicide after his wife, Halima refused to come back home due to them fighting.
PremiumTimes reports that Abdullahi unable to handle it, poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire in Shunar, Kafin Hausa LGA of the State.
The state’s police spokesperson Audu Jinjiri, said on December 31, 2018, Halima left her home after a fight with her husband. All efforts to get her back home proved abortive. This prompted him to set himself ablaze.
While still receiving treatment, Jafaru has reportedly continued to call Halima’s name, despite his second wife staying with him at the hospital to take care of him.
