A Hawaii judge forced a man to write 140 nice things about his ex-girlfriend after he violated his protection order his girlfriend had against him.

“For every nasty thing you said about her, you’re going to say a nice thing,” 2nd Circuit Judge Rhonda Loo told 30-year-old Daren Young. She added, “No repeating words.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Back in February, Young was ordered to stop contacting his ex. But he broke the rules 144 times, literally, by sending her a mass amount of texts and calls within three hours. His punishment was 157 days in jail, according to Maui News.

On Friday, Young had officially served his time but was given two years of probation, fined $2,400 and given 200 hours of community service. In addition, Loo gave Young a unique assignment. He had to write 140 “nice” things about his ex-boo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“It’s so childish to think a grown man can be so thumb-happy. I hope you don’t have a phone anymore and, if you do, I hope you don’t have her number anymore,” said Loo.
