Samuel Ortom, the Benue State Governor, has announced his defection from All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The announcement was made at a meeting with elected local government chairmen and councillors on Wednesday at the Government House Makurdi. This came after hours of protesting youths barred him from travelling to Abuja to attend the APC reconciliation meeting.
