APC governorship candidate in Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, has caused a stir online following the announcement of whom he picked for his running mate. According to reports, Fayemi picked 74-year-old Adebisi Egbeyemi (pictured above), who happens to be the former chairman of Ado-Ekiti local government area, as his running mate in the July 14th state governorship election.
Fayemi made this known via a statement released by his campaign office which read in part;
“After a long search for the candidate, Egbeyemi was picked as the candidate this evening after party leaders met for long hours to consider who is best suited to pair with former governor and immediate past minister of mines an steel development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to fly the party’s flag in the governorship contest,”.
