One of Hollywood’s leading ladies, Cameron Diaz has reportedly retired from acting to focus on family life with her musician husband Benji Madden, 39.
According to her pal Selma Blair, the actress, 45, has said she is ‘done’ with the film industry and has no plans to return the big screen.
Speaking at the Oscar’s Vanity Fair pre-party in LA last week, Selma, who stars in the 2002 movie The Sweetest Thing with the blonde beauty, said:
‘I had lunch with Cameron the other day, we were reminiscing about the film.
‘I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting, she’s like “I’m done”.I mean, she doesn’t need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life, I don’t know what it would take to bring her back.’
Cameron has been on a hiatus since the release of Annie back in 2014.
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper:
‘Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she’s just not interested.
‘She’s happy, in love and wants to make the most of her freedom and free time.’
The actress has previously said ‘nothing else matters’ now she has her husband in her life. Diaz was the highest-paid actress in 2008 with $50 million, her male counterpart, Will Smith, topped the actors list with $80 million.
