The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has released the passport of an EndSARS promoter and lawyer Modupe Odele.
Odele tweeted this on Monday after retrieving the passport.
Getting my passport back took an entire village. No way I can mention everyone one after the other but please know I’m very grateful ❤️
“Passport now picked up. No issues. I’m told I can travel at any time. Thank you so much everyone for the help and concern,” she wrote.
Reports that Odele was asked to come for her passport on Friday but was unable to make it.
The return of her passport comes nine days after it was seized at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while she was about to board a plane to the Maldives to celebrate her birthday.
Odele provided free legal assistance to protesters who were unjustly arrested by the authorities.
