Former hypeman and associate of the defunct MoHits Records, who’s currently a member of Davido‘s DMW & 30BG, Special Spesh revealed how he blocked one of the pioneers of Afrobeats movement to the world D’banj from signing the likes of Davido, Olamide & May D to his DB Records when he made the attempts years ago.

According to Spesh, D’banj had meetings with Davido’s father Dr. Adeleke to seek approval and formalize the plans, and he also promised to link Davido with American music stars such as Kanye West and Big Sean for international collaboration, however, Spesh dissuaded Davido not to put pen to paper.
He was also the reason while D’banj failed to sign Olamide or May D.
