The Emmy awards, annually, reward the best works to grace the small screen. For 2022, the prestigious award academy drafted Black Panther star, the late Chadwick Boseman, for his first Emmy nomination, posthumously.
Boseman received the nod for his voice-over work in an episode of Marvel Studios’ What If…?
Also recognized posthumously are Archer’s Jessica Walter, who played the foul-mouthed matriarch Mallory Archer, and Norm Macdonald for his nearly hour-and-a-half special, Nothing Special, where he talks about casinos, cannibalism, and why you have to be ready for whatever life throws your way.
Chadwick Boseman and Jessica Walter received their nomination in the Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance category alongside the ranks of Stanley Tucci (“Central Park”), F. Murray Abraham (“Moon Knight”), Julie Andrews (“Bridgerton”), Maya Rudolph (“Big Mouth”) and Jeffrey Wright (“What If…”).
Norm Macdonald’s nomination is in the Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special category.
