Nigerian singer and acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy have been billed to performed at the premiere of the 63rd Grammys this March.
Burna Boy has monopolized media attention for quite a while after becoming the first Nigerian artiste to be nominated back to back in the Grammy awards.
Now he breaks the record as the first Nigerian to perform at the premiere and for the 63rd edition.
Lately, the singer and Afrobeat giant have been in the news for some milestone achievements, a few controversies, and some jaw-dropping collaborations.
While we thought the light was about dim on his end, it gets even brighter with a performance at the Grammys.
Burna Boy and his band have already started rehearsing in preparation for the performance.
The Grammy Awards was initially scheduled for January, but owing to the spate of the Covid-19 in Los Angeles, it was postponed to March.
The African Giant was nominated in the Best Global Music category of awards, alongside other artists like Brazilian-American Bebel Gilberto, British-Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar, and others.
The event will hold on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
