American rapper, Ackquille Jean Pollard, known as Bobby Shmurda, has been released from jail, where he has been since 2014.

The rapper was, on Tuesday morning, released from New York’s infamous Clinton Correctional Facility, which is about 10 months earlier than expected.

Law enforcement sources said that Shmurda will now be under parole supervision for the next 5 years until Feb. 23, 2026.

In 2014, New York City Police arrested Shmurda and charged him for conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment.

Two years later, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison, which was reduced to five years after receiving credit for the two years he already served awaiting trial.

In 2020, Shmurda was reportedly denied parole, which originally meant he would serve his full sentence.

However, after a review by the Department of Corrections, he has been granted a conditional release and will be serving the rest of his sentence on parole.

A source said: “Bobby got his conditional release date bumped up by the prison’s Time Allowance Committee, which made the call after reviewing his behavior and participation in prison programs. It looks like Shmurda got early release for essentially staying out of trouble in the prison.”

The 26-year-old rapper really turned things around in jail and becoming a good boy to save his head from prison.

The rap-star released his hit single “Hot Nigga”, which peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014, and signed a record deal with Epic Records the same year.

His debut album, Shmurda She Wrote, was released on November 10, 2014, one month before he was arrested.
