Talented singer, Tiwa Savage has bared her mind on the state of the nation.
The ‘Koroba’ crooner in a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, 15th of October 2020, lamented over the dire state of the nation.
Tiwa said: “Nigeria is bad. I have so much to tell you guys. My heart is beating fast, my voice is shaking I am nervous. Nigerians are special people, beautiful people. We are hardworking, industrious, clever, street smart, and happy.
Nigeria is bad and because we are strong and clever people, we don’t realize how bad our country is because we are able to make do with what we have and manage. For decades, we have not seen how bad Nigeria is. We are not out on the streets to protest for basic needs right now, I hope eventually we will get to all of that. I hope we will not get tired and we will continue to fight the good fight.
But right now, we are not out on the streets asking for light or electricity. We are not out on the streets asking for water and these are basic needs. We are used to not having basic needs and we are not even fighting for such things. A lot of privileged people feel these things don’t concern them because they have dual citizenship. If anything happens they would jump on the plane and run. God forbid, you are involved in a car accident your millions and visas will not save you then”.
