Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” has been music’s biggest event in the past couple of weeks.
It’s almost-explicit video quickly racked up millions of views on YouTube, led to a conservative outcry,
and even earned criticism from Tiger King’s Carole Baskin over its use of big cats. It’s also had an impact in another area, too.
On August 10, Pornhub released data insights revealing that “WAP” has been on its users’ minds.
Searches for ‘Cardi B’ – already the site third most searched for a celebrity in 2019 – rose by 235 percent.
On August 12, they revised this figure up to 1574 percent.
Interest in Megan Thee Stallion rose first to 210 percent, then to 363 percent above average.
Kylie Jenner, who appeared controversially in the video, also saw a rise of 130 percent to 252 percent.
People really are horny for those celebs.
The news coincides with Cardi B’s announcement that she would partner with OnlyFans, giving fans access to subscriber-only content.
