Nigerian talented vocalist, Adekunle Gold has responded to the earlier proposed bill by the federal government to disallow the importation of generator plants in the country.
The National Assembly previously brought out a bill to prohibit the use of generators in the country but it hasn’t been signed into law yet.
If bill is signed into law, it will ban the usage of generators in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The ban will nevertheless not involved for the use in essential services like Medical purposes, Airports, railways stations/services, Elevators, Escalators, Research Institutions, and other facilities that needs 247 electric power supply.
Nigerians on social media have responded to this ban and just like other notable Nigerians, Adekunle Gold has weighed in on the situation, taking a swipe at the FG.
The “Jore” crooner took to his twitter account to talk about how he finds it amazing and surprising that a government that is yet to give continuous electricity thinks it’s acceptable to prohibits generator use. He tweeted:
“A government that can’t provide constant electricity thinks it’s genius to ban generators nationwide.”
