Cristiano Ronaldo made a surprise appearance in one of the VIP boxes at the Bernabeu to see his old team Real Madrid beat Barcelona.
Ronaldo found himself with a rare night off on Sunday after Juventus’ big Serie A match against Inter Milan was postponed over coronavirus fears.
Instead, he flew out to the Spanish capital to watch the Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, returning to the Bernabeu for the first time since he left to join Juve in 2018.
Ronaldo was spotted looking on from up in the VIP boxes, the first time he’s watched his former team in action since he brought his nine-year association with Los Blancos to an end.
The Portuguese superstar didn’t leave disappointed either, as late goals from Vinicius Jr. and Mariano Diaz secured Real a vital 2-0 victory over their eternal rivals.
