Burna Boy : A Prophet Not Known In His Home

0

In a generation where music with content is lost, everybody follows trends music is no longer about about expression , no more emotions no relatable lyrics. This is the current state of Nigerian music. Obviously the only aspect that Nigerian music has improved is the production and video coverage our producers a damn good In fact they are backbone of Nigerian music today. I got tired of Nigerian music years back since 2012 why?

Most Nigerian musicians always sing about women, women ,women that’s all nothing more sometimes I just laugh when people call Wizkid the G.O.A.T of Nigerian music an artiste that always sing about love, girls, girls, sex then match them up with good beats and you call him the best disrespecting 2face, Asa and the rest.

With The emergence of burna Boy in 2012 I saw something in this young man that is rare his style is music is unique it’s like a breathe of fresh air. Though he had a hard time blending it took him almost a decade because he knows that to succeed in the Nigerian music industry you have the follow the trends he just had to blend his unique music style with the normal trend he did it so well. I thought I was a fool until 2019 when he got a Grammy nomination it was dawn I know what I was saying, though he did not win a least he gain international recognition above all Nigerian artistes.

I stand for music with content music I can hear like forever not the one that just trend for one month then it fades away, I stand for African Giant, Burna Boy

“A prophet is not known is his home”, But truth will surface later.
