Akon has every reason to celebrate, as the Senegalese-American artist now owns a city in Senegal, called the “Akon City“.
On his Twitter handle, the “Lonely” singer announced it through a tweet: @akon of January 13, 2020.
The city was built on a 2,000-acre land given to it by the Senegalese President, Macky Sall according to Akon.
Finally, the new town would also exclusively trade in its own digital currency known as AKoin
