Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has explained why he featured playmaker, Mesut Ozil in his side’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Spaniard said he played Ozil against Bournemouth because the ex-Germany international has been “really good” in training.
A second-half goal from captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensure Arteta’s men shared a point each with Bournemouth.
Speaking on his team’s selection, Arteta told Amazon Prime Video: “I said for everyone it’s a clean slate.
“I’m going to pick the team that is the best for the moment with the qualities that they have in terms of what we want to do to the opponent.
“Ozil has been training really good so [lets] see what kind of performance they can produce.”
