Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have dispersed protesters who stormed its Abuja headquarters over the continued detention of the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.
The protesters, led by activist Deji Adeyanju, were dispersed on Tuesday as they were rounding off the protest.
Mr Adeyanju was addressing the media when a truck full of DSS officers arrived.
One of them shot in the air while another used pepper spray to force those who were seated to flee, leaving behind their placards, shoes, and other personal items.
Adeyanju alleged that he was offered the sum of N1 million to suspend the protest.
He displayed the money which he claimed was offered to him at gunpoint.
The activist, however, did not reveal the names of the persons who offered the money.
Sowore is in the custody of the DSS on charges of treasonable felony and other sundry offences.
