Since the handing over of Oyo Dry Port to the Oyo State Government, little has been heard of this project.
The project which costs about 35 billion naira has been rested for a while maybe this is due to change in power, we can’t really say. The Oyo Dry Port was meant to be an inland port where all containers will be loaded thereby relieving the Lagos port which has become too full due to containers from owners
Oyo State Gov., Engr Seyi Makinde decided to see things for himself by inspecting the ongoing construction at this site. It will interest you to note that this place has been left untouched since the past administration. This place was handed to former gov., Ajimobi who signed on behalf of the state government and Mr Rotimi Ameachi who signed for the federal government respectively.
