Anthony Joshua on Friday August 9, confirmed that his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr. will hold in Saudi Arabia on December 7.
Recall that the Nigerian-born British fighter suffered the first loss of his boxing career in New York in June, following a knockout in the seventh round of his face-off with Andy Ruiz. Ruiz was handed his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world titles after the match.
Though expressing his wish earlier for the second fight to hold in Ireland where he fought in front of crowds of more than 70,000 people for his wins over Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker, Anthony however confirmed this evening that the rematch will hold in Saudi Arabia.
The fight will be broadcast on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and it is expected that a news conference where more details will be revealed would be held on Monday August 12.
