The Video Assistant Referee Machine is was used today in the match between Nigeria and Super Eagles at Cario Stadium.
The video assistant referee (VAR) is a match official in association football who reviews decisions made by the head referee with the use of video footage and a headset for communication.
The VAR was in action to confirm the goal of the South Africans after much controversy which of the goal being a possible offside.
